UNITED NATIONS - In a significant diplomatic development, China, Russia, and the United States have acknowledged Pakistan's counterterrorism operations targeting terrorist camps in Afghanistan, as Islamabad's envoy delivered a forceful rebuttal to Indian and Afghan propaganda at the UN Security Council.
During a UN Security Council discussion on the situation in Afghanistan, Pakistan's Permanent Representative Ambassador Asim Iftikhar Ahmad received support from major powers who appreciated Islamabad's targeted strikes against terrorist infrastructure.
China, Russia, and US at the UN appreciated Pakistan for striking terrorist camps in Afghanistan.

The international community's recognition comes as Pakistan's security forces continue Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, targeting Indian-sponsored terrorist networks operating from Afghan soil. The strikes eliminated 29 terrorists belonging to Jamaat-ul-Ahrar - a group Pakistan has identified as an Indian proxy - in Afghanistan's Paktia, Paktika, and Kunar provinces.
Rejecting Indian and Afghan allegations of civilian casualties, Ambassador Ahmad stated that Pakistan's operations were "precise, deliberate, and professional" and targeted only drone storage facilities, technical support infrastructure, and ammunition depots used by terrorist networks.
"Those strikes, including those conducted in March, targeted drone storage and technical support infrastructure as well as ammunition storage sites," the envoy said. "No hospital, drug rehabilitation centre, or civilian facility was targeted."
Ambassador Ahmad noted that it was "amusing" to hear India's "newfound love for the Taliban," calling it a policy shift that follows Pakistan's successful counterterrorism operations against militant camps inside Afghanistan that New Delhi backs.
"Not once did the Indian envoy condemn the TTP or the BLA - Fitna al Hindustan - who have been targeting innocent Pakistanis. We are not surprised at all," Ambassador Ahmad stated.
He further accused India of using development and humanitarian assistance as cover to destabilise Pakistan through terrorist proxies, including the Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) and the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA).
Pakistan's Ministry of Information has repeatedly debunked Afghan-Indian propaganda around "phantom strikes" in Kunar, exposing blatant lies and "frivolous and fake" claims.
"The Afghan Taliban Regime, having nothing to offer to her citizens in terms of service, welfare and governance, only relies on misinformation and hate," the ministry stated. "The only thing they have learnt from their Indian propaganda masters is lies and false flag operations."
"It must be discomforting for India to see its terrorist infrastructure being dismantled and destroyed in Afghanistan by Pakistan's valiant security forces, who will continue to do whatever is necessary for our self-defence," Ambassador Ahmad declared.
Pakistan has made clear that as part of Operation Ghazab Lil Haq, whenever and wherever strikes are conducted against Afghan-based terror infrastructure, they will be "well declared, fully owned and backed by precise evidence" of targeting terror support infrastructure.
