BRAMPTON, Ontario - A 38-year-old Indian man, identified as Vaibhav, has been arrested and charged in the Canadian province of Ontario following a series of disturbing incidents at multiple medical clinics.
According to Peel Regional Police, the suspect is alleged to have visited several clinics in the Region of Peel over a period of time. At each location, he reportedly exposed himself to female staff members before fleeing the premises.
The investigation, dubbed "Project Medical Clinics," was launched after police received multiple reports from clinics describing a similar suspect and pattern of behaviour. Investigators from the Special Victims Unit eventually identified and located the suspect.
Vaibhav, whose full identity is protected under Canadian publication norms at this stage of proceedings, faces multiple charges. These include:

"The incidents caused significant fear and distress among the staff at these healthcare facilities, who were simply trying to do their jobs in a safe environment," said a police spokesperson during a briefing.
The accused appeared before the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton for a bail hearing. The case has drawn attention within the local South Asian community and highlights the legal consequences of such acts in Canada.
Indian consular officials in Toronto have been notified of the arrest, as is standard procedure when a foreign national is detained. They are reported to be in touch with the individual and providing appropriate consular assistance.
Peel Regional Police have commended the clinic staff for their cooperation and courage in coming forward, which was crucial in identifying a suspect. The investigation remains open, and authorities are checking if there may be more victims or related incidents.
The accused is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
