Integration challenges include ensuring the reliability of the liquid-cooling loop, potential coolant leaks, maintenance of coolant systems, and the added weight that must be balanced by avionics and airframe design optimizations. If the KLJ-7A liquid-cooled variant delivers on its promises, it would mark a notable upgrade for a mid-range combat jet, boosting Pakistan's air force modernization trajectory and competitiveness against similarly tiered platforms. Geopolitically, the move deepens defense-tech ties with China and could influence regional security dynamics, especially regarding India’s evolving air defense and fighter programs.
